Growing up in a farming county, Mike Biwer has many memories of going to pick raspberries, strawberries, corn, pickles, pumpkins, and of course apples with his family. The thought of having his own orchard provided a unique opportunity to start a new generation of farmers and be able to provide a fun and educational outdoor U-Pick experience for the greater community.

Mike was born in Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota. He spent the next 30 years there raising 2 children (now adults) and was a business leader in both private and large international companies before deciding to step out of that world. He thought back to his youth and dreamed of owning his very own U-Pick apple orchard.

When brainstorming the perfect place to have his own orchard he looked west. As an aspiring outdoorsman, the opportunity to live and build a business in the Northern Colorado region sounded perfect. For the apples, the hot sunny days and cool dry nights make for incredible, world-class apples. Since then, he and his partner, Will Perez, have relocated to Ault to start their new adventure in operating their U-Pick apple orchard.
